What is Self-Care?

Self-care is the practice of taking action to preserve or improve your own health and wellbeing. It's not selfishβ€”it's essential for maintaining your physical, mental, and emotional health.

Physical Self-Care

Regular exercise, adequate sleep (7-9 hours), nutritious eating, staying hydrated, regular medical check-ups, and taking breaks when needed are fundamental physical self-care practices.

Mental & Emotional Self-Care

Practice mindfulness, engage in hobbies you enjoy, set boundaries, practice saying no, journal your thoughts, seek therapy when needed, and surround yourself with supportive people.

Creating Your Routine

Start small with 5-10 minutes daily. Choose activities you genuinely enjoy. Schedule self-care like any other important appointment. Be flexible and adjust as needed. Remember, consistency matters more than perfection.
